Torah from Barnet
I trust this finds you well and having enjoyed an uplifting and meaningful Rosh Hashana in the Barnet Community. With Simchat Torah and the completion of the annual Torah reading around the corner, we will once again begin the cycle of Parshiot from Bereishit.
Our wonderful weekly newsletter ShabbatON always contains within it information about the portion being read that week. As you know, last year we produced TORAH FROM BARNET a book of past Divrei Torah from members of the community. We would love to produce a second volume and it is for that reason that I write to you.
We are looking for different members of Barnet Synagogue to contribute a weekly Dvar Torah which is no longer than 400-500 words. The article can be written on the Torah portion or the Haftara of the week. It is hoped that when we compile these we will be able to produce Torah From Barnet 2! This time around we would really love to see more women contributing and we are aiming for all of the portions in the book of Bereishit to be written by women of the Community.
If you are interested in taking part in this programme please email me with the portion you would ideally like to write for... (perhaps an anniversary or a birthday or another Simcha). Alternatively, I will try and match you up with a portion!
The first article will be written for ShabbatON dated 28th September ....!
Wishing you all G'mar Chatima Tova and well over the Fast.
