Children are a vital part of our community; we aim to provide all children coming into our shul with a welcoming, fun, comfortable atmosphere for all, from those in arms, to approaching Bar / Bat Mitzvah. .

During Shabbat services, the library is always open for children to take books into shul with their parents; all we ask is that they are returned afterwards. Following the Haftorah reading, children are then encouraged to come and meet up with other friends, have fun and participate in the service appertaining their age. Our team of volunteer children service leaders will ensure each child gains from the service. Services are split between year one and under – consisting of songs, storied and play, and years 2-6 – more structure in a fun way, plays, discussion, quizzes. These services are run every week ad last for approximately 45 minutes. The children are then invited to rerun to shul for the end of the service and Kiddush with the community at their dedicated children’s table.

Once a month, we also run a service for Years 1 & 2, generally consisting of a role play, drama type workshop.

For the high holidays, services are all held in shul building and are split into year 1 and under, years 2-4 and years 5-6.

It is not just about the Shabbat services though, additionally, watch this space for updates of Simchat Torah fun, Chanukah Festivities – craft sessions, making a film, to name a few previous ones, Purim Bashes, family time in the park, and our special Family Shabbat.

So please feel free to come and join us any time, we look forward to seeing you!
